Best of the Rest – March 11, 2011
It was a huge week for Tumblr. Why? Because I wrote nice things about it and why it is so important to science education and science communication!
Here’s some other highlights from the Tumblr-sphere this week:
Folks on Tumblr got pretty excited to hear about the supposed E.T.’s in meteorites, but when that proved to be bullshit the network really helped get the word out and keep good science safe.
More awesomely funny crap after the jump . . .
Ant hills are just enormously awesome underground structures, as proven by these folks who decided to pour cement down one and dig it up.
That’s Carl Sagan as the Old Spice Guy. ‘Nuff said.
#Hipsterscience happened (and is still happening). It’s pretty giggle-worthy, and now with pictures.
Puns are always funny. Right?
And now science has its own “Science-Major Mouse” meme. More hilarity can be found here. Thank goodness for the internet.
See ya! Keep giving love to the microblogs!

I have nothing constructive to add, but the Carl Sagan GIF is awesome.
